​​Haitian born Francis Pierre Laborde received his formal education at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, graduating with a B.F.A in Fashion Design. He enhanced his artistic skills by continuing his education and acquired an A.A.S Degree in Graphic design.

At the onset of his career, he utilized both of these specialized studies by working in the New York design district.
